Trick or Treat Blondies 🎃🍬👻 A great recipe to utilize leftover candy from Halloween! Recipe: Mix 1 cup melted browned butter with 2 cups light brown sugar. Add 2 large eggs, and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. Mix in 1/2 a teaspoon of baking powder and 1/2 a teaspoons of salt. Then add 1 3/4 cups of all purpose flour. Mix in 1 cup of chopped up Halloween candy ( I used Twix, Hersheys, Kit Kat, Kit Kat Witches Brew, and Reeses) mix that up. Evenly spread it into a greased baking dish. Add sprinkles (optional) and place in the oven at 350 for 30 minutes. Immediately after taking it out of the oven decorate with fun sized candy bars and candy corn. #like #fyp #easyrecipes #fallrecipes #blondies #halloween #trickrtreat #spookyseason #lgbt

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks of salted butter
  • 2 cups of light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup of assorted halloween candy roughly chopped
  • Optional: extra pieces of candy and halloween sprinkles for decor

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, over low to medium heat, slowly melt the butter while constantly mixing. After it has melted you will keep heating and mixing until a dark auburn color and nutty scent forms. Immediately remove from heat when this occurs.
  2. Place the freshly browned butter to the side to cool slightly.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  4. Once the butter has cooled, in a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar.
  5. Mix in the eggs and vanilla until a wet batter forms.
  6. Add in the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  7. Fold in the assorted halloween candy.
  8. In a greased 9×12 pan, pour in the blondie batter and smooth out so that it is even.
  9. Bake for around 30 minutes or until you can insert a toothpick in the center and it comes out clean.
  10. Top with extra pieces of candy and sprinkles.
  11. Let cool for around an hour and a half (even longer if you want to ensure they hold their form better).
  12. Serve with your favorite kind of milk (because these are very sweet) and enjoy!
